A couple of small bits this week whilst I pull together more substantial work (I’m not a machine!!) First a small revisit of my Flow and User Journey work. In various conversations I have had about the use of rewards in a gamified systems the general question is always “do you need rewards at all”. My answer is that it can’t hurt if it is done properly. One thing that…

To anyone involved in game design, feedback loops will be a well known concept. To those in gamification, they are often talked about, but not everyone will know what they actually are and how they can be used.
Feedback loops come in two main flavors; positive feedback loops and negative feedback loops. Which ever you are looking at they are constructed in a similar way, with two or more phases.

ContinueHi,
Not sure I'm allowed to post this here, but I'm after an entrepreneurial gamification expert who can help translate an extremely boring business process into something far more exciting, engaging and rewarding.
I'm not after (large) consultancy firms who deliver a report but instead want to find someone who's willing to spend a reasonable amount of time working with us to bring our reasonably well defined idea to something which is build in HTML-5 and runs on an iPhone or Android device.
We are based in the UK but location shouldn't be an issue. If you are interested please send me a message. Our preference is for someone to join us on an equity share basis but cash could work as well.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Leon

sounds like an interesting challenge :-)
My company Engaginglab (www.engaginglab.com) is here to evangelize Gamification within Europe. We are also part of a network of video-gamimg companies so, we also have some coding-power. Check it out and if you are still interested I would love to hear more from you. Bye, Roman
Permalink Reply by Nadia Cornier on August 27, 2012 at 9:33am Hi Leon, If you're still looking - I'm currently working in a similar role that will be wrapped up in a few weeks. My job is to build the strategy, aligned with business objectives and an execution strategy - the point being it's cheaper to hire someone else to manage the project than for them to pay me to do so as the consultant.

I can work with you remotely, in bringing up the application of business process. I am a very senior developer, worked on many projects. I am in a process of making the best use of tools with ideas to create a good gamification portal.
