To anyone involved in game design, feedback loops will be a well known concept. To those in gamification, they are often talked about, but not everyone will know what they actually are and how they can be used.
Feedback loops come in two main flavors; positive feedback loops and negative feedback loops. Which ever you are looking at they are constructed in a similar way, with two or more phases.

Got Game Conference (August 20 & and 21, 2012) is a brand new video game industry event that focuses on perpetuating and growing the video game industry through the exchange of knowledge and ideas, locally and globally.
Located in the heart of Amsterdam, Got Game features two days of lectures, workshops, meetings and networking opportunities, offering attendees the chance to interact and discuss business in a casual environment surrounded by a beautiful setting.
